Each week:

• students have weekly spellings to practise, this is usually involves a word search or similar to practice the order of the letters.
• a handwriting task of the spelling words to develop muscle memory of the spellings.
• There is also an expectation of reading at home at least three times a week and writing it into the child’s reading record (which is then collected on a Friday).
